PLM began in July of 2003 at the direction of Rev. Ralph Devereaux. It was Ralph’s desire to have a leader of the prayer ministry and a team of persons who recognized the call of God upon their lives to fulfill those things God had in mind for them and for Bascomb UMC.

PURPOSE of PLM
- To cover the Pastor and Worship Service with prayer during the service by praying in the Prayer room.
- To cover ALL of Bascomb’s existing and future ministries with systematic, prayer.
- To cover our community with soaking, organized prayer.
ULTIMATE PURPOSE
- Harvest lost souls

OUR GOALS
- Maintain our Prayer Room and staff with Prayer Partners 24 hours a day
- Continue to have Gap Captains to help in organizing prayer for our church, community and world

- For the purpose of leading 5s, 10s, 20s, 70s and 100s in organized, systematic prayer.
- To change the spiritual climate of our church, community and world and pray the Holy Spirit, who is the true evangelist, to go forth. To pray for the Lord of the harvest to send labors into "the fields that are white unto harvest."
The Gap Captains invite YOU to become a part of this Prayer Ministry. Prayer changes things and many will go impoverished without prayer! Lives can and will be transformed by the power of God when Christians love enough to PRAY the PRICE!
